Immediately after the US-Israeli attacks near the Bushehr nuclear power plant, Iran's Revolutionary Guard announced that it had targeted a ship in the Strait of Hormuz that, according to them, is linked to Israel, causing fire on the ship.
The Revolutionary Guard Navy Command reported via the X platform, writing: "The MSC Ishyka ship, which is affiliated with the Zionist regime, was the target of the drone attack and was engulfed in flames."
According to online sources, the MSC Ishyka is a Liberian-flagged container ship. There is no detailed information on material damage or injuries to the crew.
The Strait of Hormuz, one of the most important sea routes for global oil transport, has often been a point of tension between Iran and Western countries.
Meanwhile, according to the head of the Russian nuclear energy company, Rosatom, nearly 200 people have been evacuated from the Iranian Bushehr nuclear power plant.
The news comes after earlier reports that an airstrike had struck near the perimeter of the power plant, killing a security guard.
The attack caused damage to a building, but is not believed to have damaged major parts of the power plant.
An evacuation began on Saturday morning and 198 people have been evacuated, according to a statement from the head of Rosatom, reported by the Interfax news agency.
It was not immediately clear whether the evacuation was related to the airstrike that hit the perimeter.
