What awaits the Middle East? Israel begins the land invasion of Lebanon!

The Lebanese army has evacuated observation posts on Lebanon's southern border with Israel and moved into barracks in border villages.

Israel has launched a military incursion on Lebanon's southern border. Lebanese media are reporting heavy artillery fire on border towns in southern Lebanon. The area around Khiam and Wizani, both opposite the Lebanon-Israel border, has been declared a closed military border.

On the other hand, the Lebanese army has evacuated the observation points on the southern border of Lebanon with Israel and moved to the barracks in the border villages, reports CNN. A Lebanese military official told AFP that the Lebanese army is repositioning troops stationed on its southern border.

Earlier Israel notified the US that it is planning a limited ground operation in Lebanon that could begin soon. According to a US official, the operation will be smaller than Israel's 2006 war against Hezbollah.

It is learned that the offensive will focus on removing militant infrastructure along the border, as Israel seeks to return residents to the north. While it is said that Israeli forces have already carried out limited raids in southern Lebanon.

Meanwhile, United Nations peacekeepers are currently unable to conduct patrols due to the intensity of Israeli attacks.

What awaits the Middle East? Israel begins the land invasion of Lebanon!

The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) told "SKY News" that the security situation and the continuous bombings do not allow patrolling.

" We remain in our position and committed to efforts to de-escalate ," UNIFIL said.

UNIFIL was established by the UN Security Council in 1978. It helps the Lebanese government and armed forces patrol the area south of the Litani River, which is about 30 km (20 miles) from the border with Israel.

In turn, the United States has committed to sending "several thousand" additional troops to the Middle East to increase security and protect Israel if necessary.

"Multiple squadrons of fighter jets and the personnel needed to support them will make up the increased presence ," spokeswoman Sabrina Singh said.

The launch of this ground invasion complicates the situation in the Middle East again and raises many questions and uncertainties about the future of a region already engulfed by a 1-year war in Gaza. Intervening with troops inside Lebanon means there is the possibility of increased civilian casualties, which was particularly worrying in Gaza, where over 41,000 people have been recorded dead.

These numbers highlighted the inability of the West to stop terror and the Israeli purge in Gaza. In case of a repetition of this scenario, the image of the West will eventually crumble.

Despite international calls to stop the land invasion of Lebanon and reach a ceasefire, Israel has continued undisturbed with its plan./ Pamphlet
