The attack in the north of Kosovo has occupied the foreign media for days and has received international attention. In the Russian aggression on September 24 in Banjska, police officer Afrim Bunjaku was killed and three others were injured.
The prestigious German newspaper "Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung" has devoted a long article to the recent situation in Kosovo.
Journalist Michael Martens says that it is Belgrade itself that incites violence in Kosovo and then sues the EU. According to him, everything is done for the control of the territory.
The journalist first remembers the wars in Yugoslavia and the murders in Croatia and Bosnia by the troops financed and sent by Belgrade, but the president of that time, Slobodan Milosevic, claimed that he had nothing to do with them. Milosevic described the wars as "conflicts between the local Serbs of Croatia and Bosnia with the governments in Zagreb and Sarajevo". "It was an Ashiqar lie", writes the newspaper.
The article states that even Russian President Vladimir Putin successfully copied Milosevic's method to annex Crimea in 2014. There, too, Russian troops were sent without emblems on their uniforms. "Officially, the Kremlin said that it has nothing to do with these troops, and today, when this old lie is no longer needed, Moscow boasts how its little soldiers conquered Crimea. Yesterday's actions have become heroic acts today", writes FAZ.
"Something similar is happening in the Balkans over the years. While it is still not entirely clear whether the latest bloodshed was a provocation by Belgrade that got out of control and what the purpose of the action was, one thing is certain: Ordinary citizens in northern Kosovo do not own armored vehicles or hand grenades. The armed group that killed the policeman and then took refuge in Bitola is part of the strategy provided and supported by Belgrade", the article reads. According to the newspaper, although the president of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, says that he knew nothing about this, "you have to be very naive to believe him".
"Vucic is using the method of his teachers, Milosevic and Putin: Violence is systematically promoted, but subcontracted. At the same time, on the European stage, he acts as if he is worried and claims that he is ready to be involved in talks and negotiations", the article states, among other things. The journalist quotes that the strategy of the president of Serbia is to waste time while the goal is to control territory hoping that Trump will return to the USA.
"Belgrade is playing a cynical game in Kosovo. It's time to reveal this game. Not only in retrospect, when it is too late, as was the case with Milosevic and Putin, but now. The distortion of the facts is Vučić's game", the article says. Journalist Michael Martens says on Twitter that now there are 2 ways: The first is for an international investigation on Serbia and to freeze the negotiations for Serbia's membership in the EU. In addition, according to him, the dialogue is a dead process and that even the mediators know it.

Nuk është plotësisht e qartë nëse luftimet ishin një provokim i Beogradit që doli jashtë kontrollit dhe çfarë synohej prej tyre. Një gjë është e sigurt: grupi i luftëtarëve të lirë mund të ishte pajisur dhe mbështetur vetëm nga Beogradi. Qytetarët e thjeshtë nuk kanë automjete të blinduara dhe granata dore, as në zonat e egra të veriut të Kosovës. Nëse presidenti i fuqishëm i Serbisë, Aleksandër Vuçiç tani pohon se nuk dinte asgjë për do të duhet të jesh shumë naiv për ta besuar atë. Vuçiç po përdor metodën e zotërisë së tij Millosheviçit, ministër i propagandës së të cilit ishte: dhuna u jepet nënkontraktorëve të ushtrisë së lirë dhe promovohet sistematikisht, ndërsa në skenën evropiane pretendon se je i shqetësuar dhe i gatshëm për të negociuar, gjë që në realitet synimi është vetëm të fitosh kohë. The statesmen who once believed Milosevic's lies seem laughable today, at best in retrospect today. Those who are in charge today and still believe, or claim to believe, that Vucic is a man whose word can be trusted, should think about how that attitude will be in 10 years.
