The Minister of Justice of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, spoke about the attack in the north of Kosovo. She commented on Rama's statement, who said that KFOR should take over the situation in the north.
In an interview for "Euronews Albania" she said that she could not agree with this statement of the prime minister as the Kosovo police has proven that it has full operational capacity and cooperates best with KFOR and EULEX. She also added that the position of the prime minister of Albania is the same as the request of the Serbian president.
"How is it possible for Prime Minister Rama to take a position that is also the request of Serbian President Vucic?" I believe we have proven it, the police of the Republic of Kosovo has proven its full operational capacity and cooperation with other forces such as KFOR and EULEX with the same goal of protecting the Republic of Kosovo.
Of course, the Republic of Kosovo, especially after the terrorist attack on our country on Sunday, needs greater international cooperation for the preservation and protection and control of the border with Serbia. This is because the mountainous terrain makes the situation more challenging, especially in the mountainous part, i.e. on the border with Serbia. That's why we need greater cooperation with KFOR and EULEX, to protect the territory of Kosovo", said Albulena Haxhiu.
