Former President Donald Trump said the dismissal of his classified documents case "should be just the first step" of many more and called for his other cases to be dropped.
"As I move forward in Uniting Our Nation after the horrific events of Saturday, this dismissal of the illegal indictment in Florida should be only the first step, followed quickly by the end of the entire witch hunt," Trump wrote on the network his Social Truth, citing some of the issues under investigation.
Trump again claimed that all the charges against him were "Political Attacks". He referred to his civil fraud suit in New York, in which a judge found he had fraudulently inflated the values of his properties, his New York criminal embezzlement trial, in which he was found guilty on 34 felony counts of falsifying business charges, the cases brought by E. Jean Carroll in which a jury found that Trump had sexually abused Carroll and a judge fined him for defamation, and the federal case related to his efforts to overturned elections.
"The Democratic Department of Justice coordinated ALL of these Political Attacks, which are a conspiracy to interfere in the election against Joe Biden's political opponent, me. Let's come together to end all the weaponization of our justice system and make America great again!” Trump tweeted.
Fox News anchor Bret Baier spoke to Trump on the phone, who said he was "thrilled" by the judge's decision, according to Baier.
"I am thrilled that a judge had the courage and wisdom to do this. This has huge implications, not only for this case, but for other cases as well. The special counsel worked with everyone to try to take me down. This is a big, big deal. This only makes this convention more positive. This is going to be a great week," Trump is reported to have said.
