A big fire has broken out in Alexandroupolis between the settlements of Agnantia and Anthia in Greece.
The news was announced by the Greek media, according to which the firefighters are doing a great battle to extinguish the flames.
Currently, the flames are being favored by the heat and strong winds, and they are expected to weaken only the next day.
According to the information, the fire in Aetochori and the village of Pefkë has reached the first apartments where material damage was caused to both houses and cars. At the same time, near the houses, the fire has also reached the village of Agnadia.
According to the chairman of the House of Evros, Christodoulos Topsidis, businesses also suffered damage from the big fire.
It is known that so far 8 settlements have been evacuated, to avoid the consequences in human life.
