Greece has adopted a new regulation for immigrants. The Albanian community in Greece explains, according to a decision recently published on social networks, that Albanian immigrants are prohibited from entering or leaving the Greek territory without a residence permit.
It is reported that it is expected to be implemented after March 30, 2024, after which date immigrants must have returned to Greece or else they will not be allowed to enter. The announcement states that the new regulation has been distributed to all border points.
"All immigrants living in Greece and waiting for a residence permit can travel to their home countries only with a residence permit. If you are waiting for a residence permit and have the confirmation in hand, you cannot travel to your country after March 30 2024.
Do not make the mistake of traveling, because entry will not be allowed. The same goes for everyone outside of Greece today. They must be back by March 30, otherwise they will not be allowed to enter.
This is what the new regulation that has been sent to all border points says. Airport police told me they expect changes, but we don't know if there will be changes or how they will work. For now, be careful," the announcement said.
We remind you that this decision comes after the cooling of relations between Albania and Greece, due to the imprisonment of Fredi Beler, who was sentenced by GJKKO, to over two years in prison under the charge of electoral corruption.
