Hamas publishes the list of 7,000 Palestinians killed, Israel declares that it does not want to expand the war front

The Hamas-run Health Ministry in Gaza has released a 212-page document it claims contains the names and ID numbers of more than 7,000 Palestinians killed.

She said the people listed were killed during Israeli shelling of the enclave.

Earlier, Joe Biden and the Israeli military had questioned the casualty figures released by the authorities in Gaza.

Meanwhile, the Israeli defense minister said that his country has no interest in fighting with anyone other than Hamas.

"We are waging war on the southern front against Hamas, prepared for any development in the north, Hezbollah is suffering a lot of losses. However, we have no interest in expanding the war," Yoav Gallant said when asked if there was a possibility of a confrontation with Iran.

Asked about a ground invasion of the Gaza Strip, Gallant said it was not "far off" but would not begin until the conditions were right.

Israel has so far held back the expected ground offensive, with pressure from Western leaders to wait until more hostages are freed.
