Eleven people have been killed in an explosion at a weapons depot near the Andhra industrial area on the outskirts of Damascus.
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, Abdel Rahman, spoke of a possible Israeli attack in the area, while the Israeli army denied it.
"We are not aware of any attack by the Israeli army in this area. The IDF has not hit this area ," said an Israeli military source.
"At least eleven people lost their lives in the explosion that may have been caused by an Israeli attack. Most of the victims were Syrian citizens. We are still looking for weapons and other military equipment so that the Syrians are safe," Rahman declared.
The weapons depot in Andhra, 30 kilometers from the Syrian capital, belonged to the forces of the regime of ousted President Bashar al-Assad.
The airstrikes have targeted Syrian regime forces, but also military positions and weapons depots used by armed groups backed by Tehran.
