Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz warned Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei that "Tehran will burn" if it continues to fire missiles at Israeli civilians.
"The Iranian dictator is holding the citizens of Iran hostage, bringing about a reality in which they, and especially the residents of Tehran, will pay a heavy price for the flagrant harm inflicted on the citizens of Israel. If Khamenei continues to fire missiles at the Israeli body platoon, Tehran will burn ," Katzdian said.
The warning comes after Iran threatened Western bases in the region. Iran said it would target bases in the United Kingdom, the United States and France.
Yesterday, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Esmail Baghaei said that dialogue with the US over Tehran's nuclear program is "meaningless" after Israel's largest military attack against Iran, accusing Washington of doing so.
A military spokesman said an Iranian missile attack wounded soldiers in central Israel overnight, in one of several barrages launched in response to Israel's attack on military and nuclear sites.
"Seven soldiers were lightly wounded as a result of an Iranian missile that hit central Israel," the spokesman said.
