The head of European diplomacy, Kaja Kallas, has reacted regarding the Iran-Israel conflict.
Through a post on the X platform, Kaja Kallas announced that she had a telephone conversation with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
She said that only diplomacy can bring a lasting solution to the conflict, while emphasizing the EU's position that Iran should never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons.
"I spoke with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi. The risk of further escalation in the region is high. Diplomacy must prevail. The EU has always been clear: Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons. Only diplomacy can lead to a lasting solution and the EU is ready to support it ," the head of European diplomacy wrote.
