Israeli forces struck a hospital in Gaza City overnight. The airstrikes reportedly destroyed the emergency room, the main entrance, and a facility containing medical oxygen for intensive care patients.
Doctors and nurses tried to evacuate hundreds of patients from the facility in the middle of the night.
"Our colleagues report that Israeli forces have bombed the Arab al-Ahli Hospital in Gaza City as patients were being evacuated," Al Jazeera reports.
Images circulated on social media showing people being carried on stretchers through the streets. Reporters at Al Jazeera Arabic said seven Palestinians were killed in an Israeli attack on a vehicle west of the city of Deir el-Balah.
Hamas called the attack a "horrific crime" by Israel, which has said it is looking into the reports. In October 2023, an attack on the same hospital killed hundreds of people.
The health ministry said the building was completely destroyed and that patients and hospital staff were evacuated.
