"This crime will not be forgotten"/ One year after the railway

The center of Athens has been paralyzed today by the marches that are taking place within the 24-hour strike of the Athens Labor Center and PAME in connection with the tragedy of Tempti, which marks the first anniversary today.

According to Greek media, 15,000 protesters gathered in Propylaia in the direction of the Hellenic Train offices, 2,000 protesters in Hauteia and 3,500 in Klathmonos Square.

From the marches and recorded incidents, it is learned that the police officers have made four arrests. The gathering of Work Centers-Federations-Unions in Propylaia began with a minute of silence in memory of the 57 dead of the tragedy in Tempi. The protestors had slogans in their hands where we can list: "This crime will not be forgotten for all the dead, we will be a voice" and "Send when you arrive, it never came, we will take revenge for you little girl".

The commemorative march for the first anniversary of the tragedy is also taking place in Thessaloniki. The march took a wild turn where incidents were recorded between protesters and the police. From the videos published by the Greek media, it can be seen that the city is under the occupation of people who demand justice for the victims and who have set fire to the waste bins. Molotov cocktails and stones were also thrown at the police, who responded by using tear gas.
