The head of the UN has said that the number of civilians killed in Gaza shows that there is something "clearly wrong" with Israel's military operations.
Antonio Guterres said that the "terrible image" coming from Gaza did not help public opinion of Israel, as he added that the number of children killed in this conflict is in record numbers.
" Every year, the highest number of child killings by any of the actors in all the conflicts that we witness is in the hundreds at most. We have in some days in Gaza thousands and thousands of children killed, which means that there is something clearly wrong in the way military operations are being conducted. It is also important for Israel to understand that it is against Israel's interests to see every day the horrific image of the dramatic humanitarian needs of the Palestinian people. This does not help Israel in relation to public opinion global public" , said Guterres.
