The Turkish President, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, from the summit of the Organization of Economic Cooperation in Uzbekistan, has been harsh in relation to the position of the Western countries on the situation in the Gaza Strip.
The Turkish leader said they are silent when it comes to Israel's attacks on civilians in Gaza, which have reached the level of "genocide".
"Western countries, which constantly talk about human rights and freedoms and democracy, are watching these Israeli massacres from afar. They are too weak to call for a ceasefire, let alone criticize the killers of children," Erdogan said.
Furthermore, he said that the developments on the front of the conflict between Hamas and Israel show once again that Muslims must strengthen their unity.
"We continue our diplomatic initiatives. Under the care of my wife, on November 15, an international meeting will be held in Istanbul with the participation of spouses of state and government ministers. There will be a strong solidarity for our brothers in Gaza. It is very important that we raise our voices together", declared Erdogan.
