The conditions for the resumption of negotiations between Kiev and Moscow have been set by the Foreign Minister of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, who has made it clear that this cannot be done as Putin and Zelensky will never sit at a table together.
According to what Koleba told Corriere della Sera, Ukraine will be able to negotiate with Moscow "only after the occupation troops leave the country."
"Putin cannot be a partner in negotiations. He has committed many crimes and very serious ones. There are other diplomatic means for indirect participation in negotiations. But it is clear to us that we will never be able to see Putin and Zelensky at the same table ," said Kuleba.
As for whether it is possible to start negotiations before the full withdrawal of Russian troops from Ukraine, Kuleba said it depends on the circumstances.
" We don't believe what the Russians say, no sane person would. Before we decide to negotiate, we would like to make sure that this is something serious and not another scam.
That the Russians will not come back to attack us again. I understand these questions and their logic, but I cannot give clear answers, because there are none, the lives of millions of people are at risk," said the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine.
