The voting process for the parliamentary and presidential elections in the Republic of North Macedonia has ended. At 19:00, the polling stations were closed and the process of counting the votes is expected to start soon.
We remind you that the voting centers were opened at 07:00, where 1,814,317 citizens had the right to vote in the presidential elections, while 1,815,350 citizens had the right to vote in the parliamentary elections.
In 3,480 polling stations, citizens have decided which of the two presidential candidates, Gordana Siljanovska Davkova and Stevo Pendarovski, who won the most votes in the first round on April 24, will be their next president.
In the second round of voting, the candidate who will receive the most votes will be elected, if more than 40 percent of registered voters have turned out at the polling stations.

The Chairman of the State Election Commission, Aleksandar Dashtevski, stated that there was a solid turnout in today's elections.
Until 18:30, participation in the presidential elections was 46.34 percent, while in the parliamentary elections 53.15 percent.
The highest turnout in the presidential elections was in Novaci with 72.76 percent, while the lowest was in Likovo with 7.35 percent.
For the parliamentary elections, the highest turnout was in Krivogastani, 82.43 percent, and the lowest in Center Zhupa, 18.62 percent.

In the first electoral unit, the participation is 59.32 percent, in the second zone 48.61 percent, in the third unit 57.77 percent, in the fourth unit 58.36 percent, in the fifth 53.45 percent and in the sixth unit 336 percent40.
As Dashtevski informed, a total of 490 objections have been submitted to them for the protection of personal voting rights.
Of these, 262 were allowed to exercise their right to vote, 33 objections were rejected as irregular and 88 objections were rejected. The remaining objections are being processed, according to the SEC.
The parliamentary elections were voted according to the proportional model in six electoral units. Voting for the parliamentary elections in the diaspora was not done due to the lack of the number of registered citizens.
According to the preliminary evaluations of the SEC, the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the observers, the election day was calm and without major problems. Yesterday, the day before the elections, the emigrants, the people in prisons, the displaced, the sick and the sick who requested it from the municipal election commissions, voted.
It is now expected that the CEC will release the initial voting results received electronically back-to-back and the OKI ballot results within 12 hours of the end of the election.
