
The High Representative of the European Union for foreign policy and security, Josep Borrell, has stated that he is looking forward to working with the new Government of Serbia.
In a post on Twitter, the diplomat says that acting in accordance with the bloc's values and policies are essential for the path to bloc membership.
" Congratulations to the new Prime Minister of Serbia, Miloš Vučević. I look forward to working with you, Foreign Minister Marko Djuric and the Serbian Government to move Serbia forward on its path to the EU. Alignment and action in accordance with the values of the European Union and foreign and security policies are essential signs of strategic orientation ," Borrel writes on Twitter.
On May 2, the deputies of the Assembly of Serbia elected the new Government, headed by Miloš Vučević, who warned days ago that Serbia will not change its previous positions regarding Russia and Kosovo.
Finally, the EU has officially conditioned the integration of Serbia on the normalization of relations with Kosovo.
We remind you that Serbia elected a new Government on May 2 in the Assembly, while it includes two persons declared 'non grata' by the USA.
