Turkish Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Göktaş has caused debate in the local media.
During the budget debates in December 2024, she drove to the Turkish Grand National Assembly in a red T10X TOGG official vehicle with ASH (Family and Social Services) license plates. While most ministers who attended the December 2024 budget debates chose Mercedes official vehicles, only Transport Minister Abdülkadir Uraloğlu, Energy Minister Alpaslan Bayraktar and Family and Social Services Minister Mahinur Göktaş used TOGG vehicles.

According to a report by Deniz Ayhan of the Sözcü newspaper, Göktaş is said to be driving a Mercedes worth 32 million liras now. He reportedly took a 32.6 million liras or around 670,000 euros Mercedes AMG-S 63-E for his trip to Karabük, which also has a body massager. The 791-horsepower vehicle reaches a top speed of 290 kilometers per hour (180 mph). Standard and optional features include active blind spot, distance, steering, lane keeping assist and three-stage stability control. With additional equipment, the price can reach 38 million liras.

CHP Karabük deputy Cevdet Akay, whose town Göktaş visited in her luxury car, said: "Millions of people suffer from hunger and poverty in this country, but the government does not give up on extravagance. The minister is not sacrificing his reputation and driving his 32 million lira official car. He did not find the 2 million dollar TOGG car suitable for his extravagance and upgraded it to a 32 million lira Mercedes."
