Musk attacks new budget law: It will eliminate millions of jobs
Musk-Trump clashes return.
As the US Senate continues its battle to pass Donald Trump's proposed budget bill, which he has proudly called "the great and beautiful law," Elon Musk has once again hit out at the president and his economic policies.
In a strong post on the X network, which Musk himself owns, the Tesla and SpaceX founder has called the latest version of the law “ absolutely insane and destructive .” He warns that this budget “ will eliminate millions of jobs in the US and cause great strategic damage to our country! ”
According to Musk, the proposed law favors "the industries of the past" with subsidies while severely penalizing "the industries of the future," particularly hitting sectors such as clean energy and advanced technology, pillars of America's long-term development.
While Musk's criticisms were making waves online, Trump was on a golf course, playing with Republican senators Rand Paul and Lindsey Graham. The latter posted a photo with Trump on the X network, where they both appear smiling: " Beautiful day for the great and beautiful law! "
After leaving DOGE, a strong clash between them begins. Musk criticized President Donald Trump's new tax and spending bill, calling it "disgusting" and saying that he "can't stand" this legislation.
