The Attorney General of Venezuela, Tarek William Schaab, has announced that Caracas has issued an international warrant for the arrest of the president of Argentina, Javier Milei.
This measure is related to " the theft of an aircraft belonging to the Venezuelan airline EMTRASUR, a move that led to the loss of important Venezuelan assets ".
In addition to Javier Milei, similar orders were issued against the secretary of the presidential office, Carina Millay, and Argentina's security minister, Patricia Bullrich.
According to the General Prosecutor of Venezuela, the international arrest warrant was sent to Interpol the day before.
" They stole the plane, destroying the national property of Venezuela ," Schaab said in an interview with Venezuelan journalists.
The Boeing 747-300M had been at Buenos Aires International Airport since June 2022, when it was diverted to Argentina for refueling due to bad weather.
The Argentine authorities have discovered that this plane was bought in Iran, later it became known that the plane was destroyed in the USA.
The prosecutor further asserted that the nation of Venezuela is still surrounded by foreign forces and that is why they are using the president of Argentina.
