Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said it is important that Ukraine is heard and not forgotten. After a tense meeting with US President Donald Trump in the Oval Office yesterday, he posted on Telegram that the people of Ukraine are not alone.
"The people of Ukraine should know that they are not alone, that their interests are represented in every country, in every corner of the world," he wrote, while also thanking the leaders who expressed their support for him.
His comments come after the White House spat with Trump and JD Vance.
Zelensky left the White House after Trump harshly attacked him, saying the Ukrainian president could return when he was ready for peace.
After the high tones, tensions, and "lectures" that Zelensky received from Trump and his Vice President JD Vance, the Ukrainian leader left empty-handed, without signing an agreement on rare earth minerals, for which he went to the US.
Trump raised his voice several times to Zelensky, urging him to be grateful and giving him an ultimatum to sign, or US support for Ukraine would end.
