"The new government in Serbia will most likely be formed within the next 40 days," Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić said, underlining that the new executive will be focused mostly on the economic front, supporting development and growth.
Speaking at a meeting with entrepreneurs and businessmen at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce, Vučić said that the next government will be composed of highly competent people who are able to respond to the numerous challenges of these times.
The Serbian government has been in crisis since the resignation of Prime Minister Miloš Vučević at the end of January, under pressure from the student movement.
"The protests are destabilizing the political and economic situation in Serbia for two reasons: incomplete political stability and a decline in the flow of foreign investments, which in the first 50 days of 2025 were at the lowest level in the last six years," Vučić declared.
