Nigel Farage 'ignites' London, Starmer irritated by his language on

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has reacted angrily to statements by Nigel Farage, who warned of the risk of "civil unrest" due to the growing number of migrants arriving in dinghies and being placed in public hotels.

In a statement to journalists, the Prime Minister's spokesperson stated that the government will not tolerate inflammatory language and that they are in the process of implementing concrete measures to deal with the situation.

"This language angers him, to be honest, because it is unfair to ordinary people who are footing the bill, from hotel costs to public services being stretched beyond capacity," the spokesman said.

According to him, the government is focused on real solutions and not on "old tricks that have failed." He added that the pressure on public services is real, but there is no risk of violence or social unrest, as Farage claims.

Asked whether the administration is willing to make agreements for the return of asylum seekers with countries like Afghanistan or Eritrea, as Farage has proposed, the spokesman did not rule out this option, but stressed that this should be done through international cooperation and not by withdrawing from international refugee conventions.

On whether Britain would negotiate directly with the Taliban, the spokesman replied curtly: “We will not speculate on individual states ahead of time.”
