The story of one of the hostages released by Hamas on Sunday is akin to a thriller.
Ron Krivoi, 25, who holds Russian and Israeli citizenship, was released by Hamas last night, on the third day of a cease-fire in the Gaza Strip following the intervention of the Russian government, along with 13 other Israelis and three foreign hostages.
Krivoi was working as a sound technician at the Nova festival in southern Israel, where he was kidnapped by Hamas gunmen on October 7 along with other hostages after the massacre
According to his aunt, Jelena Magid, Hamas took him hostage in a building in the Gaza Strip, but "due to the bombing the building collapsed and he managed to get out alive from the ruins and escape.
For several days, he hid in Gaza, Magid said based on what her nephew told her in the half-hour conversation they had after his return to Israel.
But civilians in Gaza found the Israeli hostage and handed it over to Hamas.
Krivoi suffered a head injury when the building where he was being held captive collapsed, he has some injuries but is fine.
