The Austrian expert and connoisseur of developments in the Balkans, Florian Bieber, said that looking at Serbian trends, another incident similar to that of Bajska in the north of Kosovo, which happened on September 24, 2023, could happen.
In an interview for the Telegraph, he said that a continuation of this can be expected, including Serbian threats on the border, to test in a certain way NATO's determination to protect Kosovo.
" The Banjska case was clearly an incident where something went wrong. We don't know what it was, so as long as we don't know both of the background responsibilities, we can assume that such, similar incident can happen again.
We have seen more frequent and more serious incidents in the north of Kosovo during the year or a year and a half than in the past 10 years. So this shows that these incidents can happen when high-level actions with military groups, paramilitary groups, get out of control ," Bieber stated.
