Even more shocking is the fact that, in an attempt to intimidate him and force him to hand over his money and valuables, the kidnappers clearly threatened to cut off his fingers.

New details have come to light in the kidnapping of the 24-year-old son of a well-known businessman in Greece.

Greek media have published footage from security cameras showing the moment when the kidnappers forced the young man into a white car, while a few meters behind him, Ivan Greko, who is suspected of being a member of the four-member gang, appears to be following him on a motorcycle.

The 24-year-old's nightmare began on the night of May 6, when he fell into the hands of three men who abducted him from a shop in Hymettus and, at gunpoint, forced him into a vehicle. He was driven to the Saronida region, an isolated coastal location, where a horrific cycle of violence and humiliation began, lasting approximately five hours.

Greek media have published photos of the consequences of the violence against the kidnapped 24-year-old, for whose release a sum of money was demanded.

Throughout his detention, the perpetrators repeatedly punched him, threatened him with a screwdriver and a knife, and, according to his statement to the Police, tied his hands and forced him to beg for his life. They injured him with sharp objects, causing scratches on various parts of his body.

Even more shocking is the fact that, in an attempt to intimidate him and force him to hand over his money and valuables, the kidnappers clearly threatened to cut off his fingers. One of the robbers was carrying a metal tool and was threateningly approaching the victim's hands, forcing him to watch every move without being able to react. During the first stop to collect the ransom, in Glyfada, the young man managed to escape. He had previously contacted his friends, who immediately raised 15,000 euros. The perpetrators changed vehicles along the way, took his car keys, 740 euros and a wristwatch worth 29,000 euros.

The four arrested men were given a deadline to appear in court on Wednesday. According to Police:

The 33-year-old is considered a close associate of a member of the Greek mafia and has a serious criminal record, including murder in 2014 in Agios Dimitrios and robbery.

The 25-year-old and 23-year-old have once again been in the hands of authorities for participation in criminal organizations, drug trafficking, theft and other criminal offenses.

The 26-year-old hunter reportedly has a history of threats, traffic violations and insubordination.
