Iranian officials have stated that the nuclear facility in Arak has been targeted in an attack, according to state media Fars News.
An official in Markazi province said the attack was carried out by US and Israeli forces. According to him, there were no casualties, as security measures had been taken in advance.
The incident occurred shortly after the Israeli military issued an evacuation warning for civilians northwest of the city of Arak and in the Khir Abad industrial area, near the nuclear plant.
The Israel Defense Forces released a statement in Persian on Platform X, warning that they would strike Iranian military infrastructure in the area, without specifying specific targets.
Later, the IDF stated that the Israeli Air Force had launched attacks on infrastructure belonging to the "Iranian regime" on Iranian territory, based on intelligence data.
