19 world leaders have come together at the Summit being held in London, where the focus of the talks is the war in Ukraine.
The summit comes after a tense meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy and Donald Trump at the White House on Friday.
The British Prime Minister stressed that "this is a unique moment for European security, calling on European leaders to unite."
Before the start of today's summit, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni met with Sir Keir Starmer in Downing Street.
"I hope you know that all of us here are with you and with the Ukrainian people for as long as it takes," Starmer told Volodymyr Zelensky, who was present at the summit.
The British Prime Minister also said that this is a unique moment for European security.
"Having a good outcome for Ukraine is not just a matter of good or bad. It is a matter of vital importance to the security of every nation here and in other regions ," the British prime minister added.
He stressed that he intends to work on a joint defense and security plan, while US military support for Ukraine has been called into question after the unprecedented Trump-Zelensky clash in the Oval Office.
According to Starmer, it is important that peace for Ukraine continues, as Russia may continue with its aggression.
