The president of the NATO Military Committee, Lieutenant Rob Bauer, has stated that there are no signals that Russia is planning an attack against NATO members, but the Atlantic alliance should prepare for a future escalation.
"There is no indication that Moscow is planning to attack any of the NATO countries. I don't think there is a direct threat," Bauer said yesterday.
The head of the Atlantic alliance warned that "Russia's ambitions extend beyond Ukraine and therefore" NATO should be better prepared.
We remind you that since the start of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, there have often been statements with threatening tones from the Kremlin that it could also attack NATO countries.
Despite fears of further escalation in Europe, NATO members have expressed concerns about a lack of equipment and manpower to prepare it for the potential of an all-out war.
