
A three-story building collapsed this morning in Turkey, in the Kuçukçekmeze district of Istanbul.
The media reports that there are people trapped under the rubble.
The reasons for the collapse of the building are still unknown, while the police immediately started investigations. It is reported that the fire brigade, police and medical teams went to the scene.
During the search and rescue operations, 2 injured people were saved and the work continues to extract other people.

CNN TÜRK journalist Ümit Uzun said that: "there are people trapped under the rubble. The teams are currently working intensively. There are reports that voices can be heard under the ruins."
"On Sunday, 06/02/2024, around 08:40, a three-story building collapsed at the intersection of Belediye Street and Geçit Street in the Kartaltepe neighborhood of Küçükçekmece district. A large number of AFAD, search and rescue and medical teams have been sent to the scene" , announced the Turkish government.
