New details from the serious incident in Greece where the burnt body of an 82-year-old man was found on Friday evening in Ano Liosia are coming to light.
Investigations by the police and the first evidence of forensic expertise revealed that the 59-year-old son of the elderly man is not the author of the incident.
No criminal offense was found against him as the expertise revealed that the elderly man died of pathological causes.
The injuries on the 82-year-old's body are post-mortem and were probably done when the corpse was transported to the yard by his son, before setting it on fire to burn it.
The coroner who performed the autopsy of the 82-year-old's body, announced that the old man died at least a month ago.
"The wounds on the body are after death, so it is very difficult to accuse him of murder. The 59-year-old dismembered the body with an ax and a saw and then threw the parts in the trash can near his house.
His body parts, a head and a leg were found in a trash can near the house at Agamemnonos street 52. The 59-year-old man was charged with the criminal offense of not finding a dead body, false reporting to the competent authorities and possession of weapons without a permit. He was referred to be tried in the Autoforos. A psychiatric evaluation may be required under his circumstances.
The 59-year-old allegedly told the police that his father is dead, he couldn't stand the smell, took him outside and set him on fire. When asked if he had dismembered him, he claimed that at some point his limbs were severed.
On Friday evening, the police found the 82-year-old man burned on a burnt mattress in the yard and next to him was his 59-year-old son, who appeared to be suffering from psychological problems, spoke unintelligibly and initially stated that the father he died and burned it because he didn't have money to bury him.
