British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak has warned that Russian President Vladimir Putin will not stop at the border with Poland if he manages to defeat Ukraine in the war.
The Prime Minister will today announce the energy package along with an extra £500 million for President Zelensky's war effort. Including other munitions, air defense and drones.
The increase in aid will take UK support to Kiev to £3 billion this year.
Sunak will then go to Poland and Germany for urgent security talks, where he will warn that Russia will invade NATO if it is not stopped.
Sunak intends to discuss the war in Ukraine with NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and will later meet with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw.
Meanwhile, Poland has already given the green light that it is ready to host nuclear weapons on its borders if necessary. Polish President Andrzej Duda said his country would take up nuclear weapons if asked by NATO, as they look at where to put weapons and respond to Putin's latest threats.
