British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has reacted after US President Donald Trump's meeting with his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
Starmer praised the US president, saying that Trump has brought the end of the war in Ukraine closer than ever before.
"President Trump's efforts have brought us closer than ever to ending Russia's war in Ukraine. His leadership in ending the killings must be commended," said Prime Minister Starmer.
He stressed that the next step should be to hold further talks, which would also include Zelensky, as "the path to peace in Ukraine cannot be established without him."
