New details are published on the drug trafficking network in Halkidiki, Greece, while the conversations of traffickers who used coded language regarding the quantity, but also the quality of narcotics, have been revealed.
The Greek police have seized about 42 kg of drugs, where policemen and firefighters were involved.
The group trafficked cocaine and cannabis, while the drug shipments profited from 50 to 500 euros in each transaction.
A firefighter, a former policeman and another person were part of the network, while a policeman and another person are also accused.
In one of the conversations, the firefighter and the former policeman arrested today as part of an EL.AS operation, communicated in code, calling the narcotic substance "pants" or "thing".
The drug shipments were carried out by the fireman, who had been procured by the former policeman, collecting sums from 50 to 500 euros in each transaction.
It is known that 41.55 grams of cocaine and 350 euros were found in the control of the former policeman's car, while 1.87 grams of cocaine were confiscated from the firefighter.
Small amounts of cocaine and cannabis, a precision scale, a stun grenade, 3 pepper sprays, 4 mobile phones, a car and an amount of 1200 euros were found and confiscated in the house checks.
"You want a pair of pants for 100 euros"
A conversation was recorded between the fireman and the policeman, where it seems that he was supplied with drugs worth 100 euros. In the dialogue, they refer to the quality of the items, while the fireman informs the policeman that he has 500 euros worth of drugs at his disposal, which he must dispose of completely.
Fireman: Hey, you want a pair of pants 100 euros (refers to the supply of narcotics for the amount of 100 euros)
Policeman: Not that…
Firefighter: The ones that don't get wet?
Policeman: No, cheaper.
Firefighter: Okay, okay, I'll see.
In the morning of 19/07/24:
Fireman: What did you say about a 50…
Policeman: Yes
Firefighter: No way.
Policeman: Why?
Firefighter: Why do we need more?
Policeman: Yes, yes, but it's the end of the month
Fireman: I do it now, I can't tell him at the end of the month. He told us... Okay, he told me, we're done. If you don't like it, I don't care.
Policeman: No, M., no... since I am... no... no problem".
Fireman: Anyway, I'll give it somewhere else.
Policeman: Why give it somewhere else?
Firefighter: Because I'm sorry and I can't take it anymore.
Policeman: And what do you want to do? I don't understand, what do you want to do?
Firefighter: Hey m@@@ I got a five.
Policeman: Yes.
Firefighter: Since you're going to give it… You're not going to give it?'
Policeman: I'm not going to sit down, I'm not going to sit down and talk about it, whatever you want to do.
Firefighter: You won't give it?
Policeman: Right now I don't have money to give you, I will have it on the 26th when I get paid.
"Shut up and come to your room now"
In another dialogue, the firefighter informs a private person that he will return the amount he gave him, since he could not meet with his supplier.
The next day, in a new telephone conversation between the two people, the fireman informs that he has managed to secure a quantity of narcotics, which must be shared, and for this they have scheduled a meeting in person.
Fireman: Nothing, it's… I know what… I want to find you m@@@ to give you the money because… I've been hit a couple of times and I can't do it like this now.
Fireman: Now… Hey, shut up and come to m@@ rooms now.
Private: I'm not coming now M.
Fireman: It's not possible now.
Privacy: Why?
Firefighter: Why… I have whatever you want. (meaning narcotics)
Private: Wait a minute, wait a minute M. … Uh… look I'm not coming down… Can we meet somewhere else? Will you be there at Kallithea's?
Firefighter: Yes, I also want to do some work...
Firefighter: No, nothing but two and I'll keep one, you one.
Private: A.
Fireman: But they are together and this thing must be broken. (refers to drug distribution)
Private: Come on, I'll be there in 15 minutes. (meaning the area of Kallithea in Halkidiki, the place where they had decided to meet)
In another dialogue it is mentioned that the fireman is addicted to narcotics.
