A former policeman was found dead this morning in his apartment in the San Giovanni a Teduccio neighborhood in Naples.
The 55-year-old first shot into the air from his balcony. He then locked himself in the house and, according to the Carabinieri, first killed his 48-year-old wife and then committed suicide.
The man, according to the information so far, had lost his job some time ago, which is suspected to have caused great tension in the family.
His three children were at school at the time of the tragic event.
The carabinieri, with a special operation, surrounded the area and after initially trying to negotiate with the 55-year-old, they entered the apartment, where they found that the couple had died.
