The former president of the United States of America, Barack Obama, has reacted to the election result, saying that it will most likely not be published tonight.
"It took several days to count every ballot in 2020 and it is very likely that we will not know the result of the election even tonight," he said.
Also, the head of the House Democrats' campaign operation spoke to the media this afternoon and said it could be a week or more before the final outcome — and therefore the balance of power — is officially determined.
