
The first exit polls for the US elections are published
As the polls are closing, the first polls speak in favor of Kamala Harris.
According to the CNN poll, 48% of voters prefer Harris, compared to 52% who preferred Biden in 2020. While 44% prefer Trump, a decrease of 2% compared to 2020.
According to CNN, roughly 46% of voters have a favorable view of Vice President Kamala Harris and not Trump, while about 42% have a favorable view of Trump but not Harris.
43% of voters said they were "dissatisfied" with the country's leadership, 29% "angry", just 19% "satisfied" and 7% "enthusiastic".
For 61% of respondents, America's best days are "in the future" and for 34% "in the past."
58% of respondents said they "disapprove" of President Joe Biden's actions, compared to 41% who "approve."
The economy ranks second, with three in ten voters choosing it, according to this preliminary data.
Abortion and immigration were the next most important issues and foreign policy was the least chosen option.
The economy has previously topped the list of issues motivating voters and has ranked first in exit polls for every presidential election since 2008. It remains within the margin of error. The poll on who the Americans voted for is awaited with interest.
