US President Donald Trump said he is open to the possibility of a religious leader in Iran, "depending on who it is," and as long as he treats the US and Israel well. In an interview with CNN on Friday, when asked if he insisted that Iran should be a democratic country, the US president said: "No , I'm saying there should be a leader who is fair and impartial. Does a good job. Treats the United States and Israel well, and treats other countries in the Middle East well, all of whom are our partners ."

" And I became very friendly with all these countries. That's why they're all fighting for us. Before I got involved, we weren't even talking to the UAE and Saudi Arabia. You know, Biden cut them out. Biden and Obama cut Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Qatar, cut them all out. It was all going to China, and I got involved in a very short period of time and they became my friends ," Trump said.

And while Trump praised the U.S. operation against Iran, saying he rates it a "12, maybe 15 out of 10," he stressed that he was not concerned about rising gas prices.

"It's okay. It will be short-term. It will go down very quickly," he said, dismissing the fact that prices have increased significantly and saying that "there is already a solution" for the Strait of Hormuz.

" We have destroyed their navy, because, as you know, when you destroy the navy, they cannot do what they wanted to do. Can you imagine? 25 large ships have been destroyed ," he said.
