Eight Israeli soldiers were injured in the attack near the Lebanese border; five of them in serious condition.
Eight Israel Defense Forces (IDF) soldiers were injured after a rocket attack carried out by Hezbollah militants on a military post in northern Israel, near the border with Lebanon.
According to the Israeli military, the son of Israel's Finance Minister, Bezalel Smotrich, is among the three lightly wounded. The news was reported by Israeli media outlet Ynet.
The wounded were transported for treatment to the Galilee Medical Center in the city of Nahariya. Medical authorities say that five of the wounded soldiers are in serious condition.
The Israeli military is investigating the circumstances of the attack, as the incident comes at a time of ongoing tensions along the Israel-Lebanon border.
