22-year-old Israeli artist and influencer Sunny Luke was found dead after being held hostage by Hamas terrorists since October 7.
For more than three weeks, her family hoped for a miracle. This morning, the girl's mother and sister announced her death through the German media.
Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs posted a condolence message to Platform X.
"We are devastated to share that the body of 23-year-old German-Israeli Sunny Luke has been found and identified. Kidnapped from a music festival and tortured by Hamas terrorists, Sunny experienced unimaginable horror. Our thoughts and prayers are with Sunny's friends and family during this unimaginable nightmare," the post read.
Hamas terrorists were filmed carrying the hapless girl naked and with broken legs in a car after the attack on a music festival on October 7. At the time the young woman was identified by her tattoos, while initial reports said she had died with terrorists and the mob desecrating her corpse.
Her mother, Ricarda Luke, had recognized her in one of the videos, but she was hopeful, telling international media that she had information that her daughter was seriously injured and was in a hospital in the Gaza Strip.
As the German newspaper "Bild" reports, Sunny Luke is considered one of the eight German citizens who were captured during the war, according to the German authorities. Luka was at the festival, accompanied by her boyfriend, a Mexican citizen.
After the alarm went off and the Hamas attack began, Luka spoke to her mother on the phone, telling her that there were few places to hide and that she would try to find one. Then she disappeared.
