Serbian Prime Minister Miloš Vučević said that he supports Ukraine for the position it has taken until now, not recognizing Kosovo's independence.
At the Bled Strategic Forum in Slovenia, in a panel where Prime Minister Edi Rama was also present, Vučević said that Ukrainians and Serbs are Slavic brothers for Serbia, just like the Russians.
"I am not happy to see that there is a war going on in European territory. Serbia fully recognizes the territorial integrity of Ukraine. She is a very close friend of ours. They are also Slavic brothers, just like the Russians. "Also, Ukraine does not recognize the so-called independence of Kosovo, so we have full respect for Ukraine, just like for Russia," said the Serbian Prime Minister.
Regarding the European integration process, Vučević said that despite the bombardment of dates and deadlines, nothing has happened so far.
"But I believe that after what the president of the commission said very clearly, the next commission will be fully committed. Without the Western Balkans, the EU cannot fully deal with economic, security, cultural, etc. issues, because there is a gap if it is not this territory. We don't mind seeing some former Soviet republics have their own accession process. It is good for them, but it is not fair for the countries of the Western Balkans", said Vučević.
