The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, said that Russia is mobilizing over 300,000 young fighters to send them to war within a few weeks, with the aim of capturing the symbolic city of the war against Nazism, Chasiv Yar, by May 9.
"I have been informed about the hot zones on the war front. They are Chasiv Yar and main parts of Donetsk region, also some areas in Kharkiv region. We will continue to resist. I thank every soldier, commander or unit who aims well and continues to resist," declared Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Zelensky also responded to Russia's claim that with new aid, the United States will turn Ukraine into a second Afghanistan.
"It won't happen like that, but we will send a strong message to the Kremlin", says the president.
