A recent poll for early parliamentary elections in Germany shows the CDU leading by at least 13 points ahead of the SPD and 10 points ahead of the far-right AfD.

The poll was conducted by INSA for BILD, while compared to last week CDU has a drop of 1 point, AfD a drop of 3 points and SPD an increase of 2 points.

The CDU, in the last poll for 2024, is understood at 31%, SPD 17% and AfD 20%.

The Greens are in the quota of 12%, while the FDP is in 4%. The latter cannot enter the Bundestag if it remains in this quota.

The only difference this year is that the new party Wagenknecht. BSW is in the 7% quota.

According to the survey, 13% of votes currently go to parties that do not reach the 5% quota, which is also the minimum threshold to be represented in the Bundestag. This is the reason that the parliamentary majority can reach 44% quotas.

The head of INSA, Hermann Binkert told BILD that "currently there is a CDU/SPD parliamentary majority of 48 percent, while the SDU/Greens alliance is at the quota of 43 percent, an insufficient figure."

There is also some variation on the chancellor's name. Compared to last week, AfD chancellor candidate Alice Weidel has lost 3 points and is only slightly ahead of Union chancellor candidate Friedrich Merz.
