The Special Prosecution Office seems determined to fight organized crime and corruption. Although politics is hitting it and trying to demoralize it, the data shows that the fight continues.

" We also emphasize that there has been an increase in the application of proactive investigation methods, in the case of telephone interceptions, and also the application of special investigation methods such as observations, checks, simulations, seizure of material evidence, letter of recommendation, infiltrated agents, etc. During 2024, the Special Prosecution Office used the interception method for 163 criminal proceedings where 3096 terminal devices (device/telephone number of the subject being intercepted) were intercepted. Compared to 2023, the number of terminal devices intercepted is 7.1% lower (3335 terminal devices intercepted during 2023) ", SPAK emphasizes.
