The decision of the leader of the Socialist Party, Edi Rama, to add Elisa Spiropali and Ogerta Manastirliu, as co-leaders with Erjon Veliaj in the electoral campaign team in Tirana, was considered a scenario of displacement and political attack against Veliaj, due to the investigation by SPAK.
Babloku tried to quell these rumors, declaring that the political leader for the electoral campaign in Tirana is Erjon Veliaj; he even took him with him several times to political activities, where he praised him for the work he has done in the Municipality and his contributions to the SP's victories.
After the launch of the investigation and the attacks of the DP and PL, Edi Rama has come to the defense and praised Mayor Erjon Veliaj several times, as he has done for many former leaders of the SP and the government.
Edi Rama did the same thing on February 3, 2025, in the city of "Stundeti" in Tirana, where he had Erjon Veliaj by his side, whom he called a successful leader, who has made the Municipality of Tirana a leading locomotive in all directions and has my support, that of the Socialist Party and the government.
But on February 10, 2025, at the "seventh" of public support and praise, Mayor Erjon Veliaj was arrested by decision of the SPAK and the Special Court, while Babloku came out the next day with his acrobatic stances, as if he didn't know he was going to be arrested and as if he felt sorry for him.
The arrest of Erjon Veliaj, a few days after the praise he received from Edi Rama, but also the arrests of other officials after Edi Rama boasted and defended them, has created the perception that those whom Babloku praises and defends end up in prison.
For example; after Saimir Tahiri was criminally prosecuted, Babloku came to his defense and called him a "champion minister in the fight against crime"; but after the praise, he ended up in court and in prison.
On June 13, 2016, Babloku defended and praised the mayor of Kavaja, Ervis Roshi, calling him a political model for the Socialist Party, but after 3 days he was arrested, while Babloku pretended to feel sorry for him.
In the SP analysis 3 months after the April 2021 elections, Prime Minister Edi Rama praised the mayor of Lushnja, Fatos Tushe, for his excellent work in the campaign and in leading the municipality, calling him a model of local governance for the SP, while 10 days later he was arrested.
Five days before the decision to arrest the mayor of Vora, Agim Kajmaku, was made, Babloku praised and defended him, calling him clean and honest, while calling the evidence against him for the conviction in Greece a slander against a young SP politician.
A day before handing over the mandate and a week before the arrest of former minister Lefter Koka, Babloku called him a friend and drank wine with him, considering him an honest politician who escaped the swamp of the LSI and joined the PS, as he did with MP Alqi Bllako.
On March 12, 2023, four days before his arrest, Babloku praised the mayor of Bulqiza, Lefter Alla, during the electoral campaign, while 3 days later he was arrested and imprisoned.
He did the same acrobatics with Vangjush Dako, whom he defended and praised until the evening of June 5, while 1 day later he was arrested, while Babloku remained silent as if nothing had happened.
He did the same thing to Arben Ahmetaj, whom he called the minister who reformed the economy and finances and managed the reconstruction of housing after the earthquake, but unlike the others, he dismissed Ahmetaj and rushed to put him in prison, even lifting his immunity within a day.
For 5 years until 1 day before his arrest, Babloku defended former minister Ilir Beqja, calling him honest, visionary and an example who reformed and raised healthcare to modern European standards.
A week before the arrest, Babloku also called Mayor Erjon Veliaj, the political and governing "locomotive" of the Municipality of Tirana; but let's wait and see which "sacrifice" is next; because the facts show that all those protected and praised by Babloku, such as Agaçi, Manastirliu, Peleshi, Xhaçka, Shalsi, etc., should get ready for prison. / Pamphlet
