More than a tax or a fee, it's all a diabolical well-thought-out policy for a well-targeted objective...
Edi Rama is trying to justify another toll road in the north of the country with the tale of the "Blue Corridor", which is actually a lie.
The EU did not approve Edi Rama's project, because the Albanian government did not have, nor did it present any project, as Croatia did, which built the coastal road with European funds.
The newly inaugurated Kashar-Thumane segment or vice versa, is simply a supermarket of billions, where Albanians will have to leave money when they enter and when they return to it, without yet knowing how much the payment is.
A road not discussed and not consulted neither for the fee nor for the method of payment by the citizens, who pay an expensive tax for the infrastructure on every liter of fuel they buy. Accordingly, each person pays 30 cents for each liter of fuel, and if he normally fills 20 liters he pays 2 euros. With the Kashar-Thumana tax, which will be the least 2.1 euros and the average 3, this tax goes to 5, and together with the Kombit road, it goes to 12.
A burden that has nothing fiscal, but looks like a pure political tribute to blacken the lips and soul of every person who will have to take the road to the north of Albania, or from the north.
More than a tax or a fee, it's all a diabolical well-thought-out policy for a well-targeted objective.
Which can be seen quite well if there were normal media that reflect the developments in the country.
The north of Albania, which has an added value like Kosovo and the Albanians of Montenegro, has an economic potential that is undergoing a very large development. This, not only in tourism, but also in natural wealth and economic expansion.
Just looking at how many foreign tourists visit the south and the north of the country, the difference speaks for itself. The jewels of Rivjera are almost empty like Jala and Dhërmiu. The business plans made by the oligarchs, who have invested billions there, are turning to dust.
Foreign travelers, Kosovo Albanians and the diaspora, are visiting more Velipoja, Shengjin, Rana e Hedhur, but also Aplet and the rich area of Zadrima.
On the other hand, the part of Mirdita, Kukës and Gjakova Highlands is also experiencing expansion. And the most important and strategic indicator of this development is the human factor, which has returned strongly and is dynamizing the north.
Meanwhile, the south of Albania, even though it is a real gem in terms of beauty, has a big demographic deficit. Deserted areas, starting from the Riviera, not to mention the inner part that is suffering a big shock.
Edi Rama has followed a very disproportionate investment policy. To Vlora, he has built a high-standard road free of charge, which, with the opening of the Llogara tunnel, goes all the way to the coastal villages. An expansion of large free investments, but which are not being translated from the economic side.
The operators of Vlora, but also of the coastal area, are complaining that until now there are no tourists there. Meanwhile, the north of Albania is completely different. Shengjini, Velipoja, but also the interior regions are full.
Edi Rama immediately intervened to stop the hemorrhaging of his customers in the south, immediately introducing the toll road, where according to all likelihood the tax will reach 4 euros at the entrance and 4 at the exit, that is, 8 euros. A cost that can cause a great mess and the likelihood is also a revolt, which in the end, economically weakens the northern area that is undergoing a great growth. Growth that is being guided by Kosovo, as its citizens have already found their destinations, which are the areas of Shkodra and Lezha. Only a small part can go south.
This tax, which goes to the oligarch who built Thumane-Kashari "in record time", is a well-known political mechanism used by the Ottoman Empire to curb the development and postpone the emigration of the northern area of the country.
Which today is the demographic basin that is exploding in the country, and together with Kosovo, it may soon turn into a more influential political reality in the Albanian space.
Rama and his entourage cannot bear this, so they are taxing him and will continue to tax him in the future. This is precisely why the north should take its own destiny into its own hands and not spoil Bablok in centrally directed spectacles, as if it had invented the wheel.
If he is dividing the carpets of the houses, it is nothing but his duty that he has been in the government for 12 years. And if it does not divide the mats, then why does the administration stay at work?
In Italy, the wealthy north of the country took the reins and told Giorgia Meloni that if you want support, you must support their demands for fiscal relief. Meloni won and then implemented the demands of the northern economic lobby point by point. Therefore, the business or the politicians of the north should come together and find a personage or political party that supports their interests. They even have the slogan ready: Remove the beams in the north!/ Pamphlet
