The images of Belind Kelliçi, enjoying an expensive vacation at the Green Coast resort, in all likelihood, have come from political circles of those he has attacked for a long time. Because in politics, but also in life, what you do to others will be done to you. An important politician is neither strengthened nor weakened by the amount and quantity of attacks against him.
Mud, accusations and attacks, especially in Albania, but not only, seem to represent the most common substrate of political life.
However, a politician strengthens, or shapes his profile, creating an identity of ideas, coherence in public life, but above all in the autonomy and seriousness of creating a profile during public life, in creating and defending causes.
Belind Kelliçi had all the opportunities to become a politician with a profile that grows every day, especially when he managed to win the race with Ervin Saljanji for the chairman of FRPD a few years ago, and then in the 2021 elections, when he got the biggest personal preferences in Tirana district.
But, Beloja, as the people around him call him, chose to turn into a ping-pong ball, which is released by 'political pezzonovants', to hit their targets of the day.
Belind Këlliç's race as a candidate for mayor of Tirana, in May 2023, seemed from the beginning like a battle that could not be won.
However, a battle does not always make you stronger if you win. After all, you can lose, but you can lay the foundations or milestones for a future one, or to strengthen the foundations of your political profile.
In other words, you can lose a battle, but what matters is what form or measure the loss takes.
In the current case, the battle on May 14, 2023 with Erion Veliaj, was important, since Lali is in his third and last term as mayor of Tirana. Logically, Veliaj would try with all his might, so that the last battle as mayor does not lower his shares, but increases his position to climb higher in politics.
As for analogy, Edi Rama, in the third time when he competed, won with lawyer Ngjela, who was not a very strong candidate, with a not very large number of votes compared to the first and second time. After all, in politics, the number of votes is the final objective.
Meanwhile, in the last time, i.e. the fourth time, Edi Rama lost the municipality to Lulzim Basha, a riosh in politics with 10 more votes.
This small difference boosted Lulzim Basha, despite the fact that he did not know how to consolidate his public profile, but made him the head of the opposition for 10 years.
Në rastin e Belind Këlliçit, beteja e 14 majit 2023 do të ishte pozitive për të, nëse do të kishte pasur mundësinë të merrte më shumë vota si kandidat, duke e kaluar kuotën e votave të opozitës, si dhe të ulte diferencën që Lali ka krijuar në 2 garat e tij të mëparshme. Në fakt vetëm garën e parë me Halim Kosovën në 2015, pasi në 2019, në sajë të bojkotit të opozitës, Veliaj ishte i vetëm në lojë.
Megjithatë, Veliaj, e këtu ka arsye, ka përdorur pro tij edhe votat që zgjedhësit e Tiranës kanë dhënë për mazhorancën në zgjedhjet parlamentare.
Ndërkaq, Belind Këlliçi, nuk arriti ndonjë objektiv të rëndësishëm më 14 maj 2023 për të çarë më pas në politikë. Madje humbi edhe mandatin e deputetit që e la të kandidonte në Tiranë.
Megjithatë, koha për Belon nuk ishte e volitshme, pasi opozita ishte në ditën më të zezë të saj, edhe si pasojë e përçarjes së madhe. Por kjo nuk i hiqte mundësinë që edhe pas kësaj disfate, ai të ngulitej fort si shef i opozitës në bashkinë e Tiranës. Duke rritur kështu profilin e tij si një alterego i Erion Veliajt.
Jo më në betejën për bashkinë Tiranë, pasi në 2027 Veliaj nuk kandidon më, por në kupolën e politikës shqiptare.
Dhe kështu ky çift i ri i politikës shqiptare, do të profilizohej në të ardhmen e afërt si dy anët e medaljes së elitës së re politike, që ka larguar kastën e vjetër që përfaqësohet nga Sali Berisha, Ilir Meta dhe Edi Rama.
Por Beloja, fatkeqësisht zgjodhi, me një takticizëm jo të studiuar, të bëhet mashë e disa politikanëve, që luftën me Veliajn, e kanë jo vetëm një betejë kundër mazhorancës, por më shumë si rrugë politike për të shpëtuar veten.
Ilir Meta, i cili ishte njeriu që loboi më shumë që Këlliçi të kandidojë për bashkinë e Tiranës, e donte si çadër për të krijuar një grup këshilltarësh në bashki. Gjë që e arriti, duke përdorur votat e PD-së dhe Këlliçit. Ndryshe Ilir Meta- gjegjësisht Partia e Lirisë nuk do të kishte pasur mundësi që të hynte në Këshillin Bashkiak.
Ndërkaq, Sali Berisha, e do Belindin, për të pasur një mundësi sulmi dhe negociate në distancë me Edi Ramën për hallet e tij. Dhe jo vetëm me Edi Ramën, por edhe me klanet e tjera të PS-së, që janë dukshëm të shqetësuar nga e ardhmja politike e Erion Veliajt.
Nga ana tjetër, edhe këto klane të PS-së, e kanë përdorur fort Belindin për të hapur një gropë politike para bashkisë së Tiranës, e cila nuk synon të dëmtojë kryebashkiakun që është në mandatin e fundit, por Erion Veliajn për në krye të PS-së.
Lulzim Basha, deklaroi para pak kohësh, madje, se Këlliçi është sponsorizuar nga qarqe brenda partisë socialiste për të sulmuar Veliajn. Basha theksoi ndër të tjera, se pikërisht protesta e Këlliçit, vetëm në bashki, e jo në godinën ngjitur, e tregon këtë.
Kështu, në analizë të përgjithshme, Belo u përdor nga Berisha, Meta, por edhe nga Edi Rama që po kërkon të bëhet sulltan i përjetshëm, e vetë nuk ka fituar asgjë. Madje ka ulur kuotat e tij krahasuar me vitin 2021 apo 2023.
In politics, there is nothing wrong with making alliances, even alliances are the essence of politics. But in this case, Belind Kelliçi, should have a give-and-take agreement with the old elite, even taking advantage of their problematic situation in popularity, should benefit more from them. Who have money, influence traffic and infrastructure to stay in politics.
But Belindi proved to be the least political axama, not calculating his position correctly and intelligently. Even Lulzim Basha, who is not known for talent or eloquence in politics, has not allowed himself to be misused without getting anything.
One could even say that Belo was naive, and here again there is logic to rely on. As it seems that Kelliçi has used the private bridge he has with an important part of the SP, simply serving his cronies and bosses.
