Two Italians who remind us of Lieutenant Baba

Two Italians who remind us of Lieutenant Baba

If you chain someone else up and isolate them in a cell, without a court order, you have done the same thing as Lieutenant Baba immediately after the War.

Both Italians belong to modern times; even the most modern time, that is, yesterday, Thursday, February 27. Both, senatorial politicians, headed to the prison where Erion Veliaj is being held and asked 'what is happening? You have held him without a warrant?'.

While 'Lieutenant Baba' belongs to a very primitive time, so much so that it is embarrassing to mention it. That was the time when Albania had just been liberated from the Nazi-fascist occupation and 'People's Justice' had come to the fore. The specific person, who was called 'Lieutenant Baba, was in fact neither of Justice, nor of war, nor of freedom, but a 'wood with prey' who turned into a trap against the people. His real name was Hodo Habibi, but he asked his victims to call him '.... Baba.'

It has happened three times in our nation that frightened people have called each other 'father...'.. The first time Hodo, the second time Stalin, and the third time Kurti in Kosovo; which is fresh.

This behavior is nothing more than a bad historical remnant that makes you feel dirty: To call someone 'Baba...', except to instill fear?! Lieutenant Baba, a man of the Security Forces, settled in Mirdita and raped anyone who came to his senses. He would put cats and freshly boiled eggs under women's clothes, he would stick lit matches in men's nails, tie them to trees and shoot them; he would take children out into the street and threaten them 'you have a good mother, bring me here!'.

There was no right, no trial, no decision, no guilt, no innocence...

That's why I said it's so old and shameful to show. Shameful because modern times have left behind 'for centuries' the justice of the lock and the cat in the street.

The two Italian politicians who rushed from Rome to prison when Erion Veliaj was tied up may not even have any idea about Lieutenant Baba; but their European nation and state have eternal scars from the 'sluts' of the old days. Even in Rome, imprisonments without trial were once carried out, and even in Roman law the right to trial and decision was mentioned. In the Canon of Lekë, which is actually a spectrum of Roman law, there is no prosecutor (persecution), there is no tie behind the tree before the judicial decision is made, you cannot kill a peasant's chicken to test the gold-plated revolver.

Two of the senators of the political group 'Forza Italia', Lorenzo Grassini and Roberto Berardi, have landed in Tirana precisely with the burden of the Law of 'what happens in a judiciary where there are detainees!'. The modern world does not have detainees. Nor is there imprisonment without a Court decision.

If you tie someone up in irons and isolate them in a cell, without a court order, you have done the same thing as Lieutenant Baba immediately after the War. A prosecutor, ignorant to me, with sentimental ties to the old Justice System, insults, threatens, curses..., almost like 'Lieutenant...' who was ready to pounce on the victim's wounds.

I am reading that with this case like this Veliaj case, SPAK is getting glory. I am also reading that SPAK intends to return to political dominance. I am also reading terrible figures: That we are a nation with over 60 percent in detention. Only about 2 percent of the people are 'innocent', all the rest are criminals.

They are portraying us as a degraded, evil, stupid people.... Our people are doing this.
