The Socialist Party of Hungary but also the Turkish CHP, namely the Republican Party of Turkey, have officially expressed their concerns about the behavior of Edi Rama, who has publicly supported Viktor Orban, a sovereignist, populist, anti-European leader, who is a fierce opponent. of the left parties, and even has a close relationship with Vladimir Putin.
Meanwhile, the Turkish CHP, which is also a member of the PSE, has expressed its written concern about the public appearance of Edi Rama, as the only leader from the European socialists who supported Recep Tayyip Erdogan, in the presidential elections of May 14 this year in Turkey. No European leader, let alone a leftist one, has done this.
The pact with Giorgia Meloni is the third in line, and according to a study by a 'think tank' close to the European left in Brussels, Edi Rama, has early started the procedures to bring his party closer to the centrist European political group led by Emanuel Macron- Renew Europe.
